Brescia House School is an independent Catholic girls’ school situated in the heart of Bryanston. Established in 1966 with only 196 learners, Brescia House School is one of South Africa’s leading girls’ schools. Over time, the school has developed an excellent reputation for the development of outstanding young girls who, benefiting from a well-rounded and balanced education, are able to make a meaningful contribution to society. Their class of 2018 achieved not only a 100% pass rate, but also a 100% University Entrance in their final matric results for the fourth year running.

The school was started by the Ursuline Sisters of the Roman Union at the request of the Bishop, who felt a need for a Catholic girls’ school in the area. We are proud to be a part of a worldwide Ursuline network of schools that educates thousands of learner annually. The motto of the school, ‘Serviam’ means ‘I will serve’, and a spirit of service to the community is encouraged in the pupils.

Whilst remaining true to the vision of our founders, we welcome pupils of all denominations, encouraging them to explore many aspects of religion and spirituality.
