At Glenanda we are committed to enhancing teaching and learning. An important tool is technology. Many schools in South Africa, and the world, have implemented the use of technology, and we at Glenanda Primary feel we need to be part of this evolution.

We make use of technology to provide learners with textbooks in e-format. This adds the functionality of highlighting and adding notes without defacing expensive textbooks. Teachers can also add additional content such as videos that will further enhance learning.

Although numerous devices are supported by our system, we only make use of a Chromebook. These devices are stable, easy to manage and have a great battery life. They also have a full keyboard and touchscreen. Lastly they remove the distraction of Android games. We will also be using the Chromebooks for uses such as self-learning and the seeking of knowledge – all of which we already do in our computer centres.
