Founded in 1997, Somerset College is a young independent, co-educational day and boarding school situated on a beautiful 32-hectare campus in the Cape Winelands of the Western Cape. The College offers schooling from Grade 000 (age 4) to Matric, as well as Cambridge AS and A-levels. Somerset College is a not for profit, section 21 company.

Set on a magnificent 32 hectare Western Cape winelands campus, Somerset College has gained recognition as one of the top co-educational, non-profit, independent schools in South Africa. Our senior school provides a dynamic learning community for 600 students from Grades 8 to 12, as well as AS and A Levels, and includes the provision of boarding facilities. Somerset College’s educational offering is guided by our Christian ethos, which includes the recognition of other religions and the promotion of cultural diversity.
